Made a bit of a mess

Author: Yesterday me, Kirsty and Lucie went into Derby for the day to spend a bit of time shopping and for a check up at the hospital. While Kirsty was seeing the doc, I fed Lucie.
She is getting quite good at holding things so until I get better at doing 300 things at once I gave her the spoon to hold while I took the lid off the jar. I noticed that she went and put the spoon in her mouth so I thought I’d see if she could feed herself with me helping.
We got that if I put a bit of food on the spoon, most of the time she would put the spoon in her mouth and suck it until all the food had gone and then wave the spoon in the air to get me to give her some more on the spoon. Most of the time… Sometimes she’d just wipe it all over herself, or usually me.
Still, I reckon she’s better at it than a 5 month old should be.

Just watching The Bourne Ultimatum and found out that my birthday is the same as Jason Bourne’s. It’s also the same as the Guy who played Ryan on The O.C. (Ben something).
Anyway, back to watching the film
Arse, I didn’t win the lottery this week
Oh well, I’ll probably win it next week then. Or I might win at poker today if Clint ever gets ready!
The wedding was good last night – boddingtons makes my head hurt though…
I’ve also managed to spend £60 on texts in the last month somehow. I’d better win the lottery next week now!

Yup, my numbers came in on Friday and I won £29.70. Now where’s that Ferrari showroom?
The last week or so
Well, the last week or so me and Kirsty have been spending at lot of time with Lucie and it’s been great. We’ve met up a few times in town and just done things like nip to the shops after I’d finished work to get Lucie some food and me some Rusks.
I’m starting to get used to the feeding bit – the secret is to let Kirsty hold Lucie and that way she gets covered in food when she blows bubbles and spits it everywhere!
On Thursday I met them in Derby and we did a bit of shopping ready for them going to France. We fed Lucie and then I carried her arround town so she could be nosy which she seems to really enjoy.
When we got back we went down the trail for a bit and I changed her nappy for the first time (it’s not as hard as I thought it would be). I gave her a bottle after that while she was wayching people going past on bikes. I’m sure she eats more than me and she’s getting quite big now (15lb 9). Think I’m going to have to do some exercise so I can carry her!
Can’t wait till they get back
So, what’s “Life with Lucie”?
Well, if you didn’t know, Lucie is my daughter and unfortunately the poor girl has got to grow up with a complete geek of dad who embarrasses her by doing things like this!
The idea is I’m going to use this site so I can put photos and stories and stuff like that of her growing up and that way we can all look back in twenty years time from our holiday home on the moon and remember the times when I was ruggedly handsome and had hair.
