Tears at Bedtime

Last night Lucie went to bed at the normal time and I could hear her running around her bedroom playing for a bit as she normally does until she’s tired enough to go to sleep. After about 20 minutes I heard her crying and she shouted “Daddy! Covers stuck!”. I went up to see what she was doing and she was trying to pull her dovet over herself but couldn’t for some reason. I went to tuck her in and found out the reason was because she’d gone to bed in her wellies again!

Potty Training

As Lucie has decided that she wants to wear as she calls them “big girl pants” instead of nappies we have started potty training, for some reason because I gave Lucie a biscuit once when she went on the potty she now asks for one everytime she sits on the potty whether she does anything or not.

She is grasping the concept pretty quickly although we are both on puddle spotting duty, as we nearly had a repeat of the incident from don’t take your eyes off them. Which I have to admit was rather funny to watch.

She’s nearly 2!!

I can’t believe that it’s nearly 2 years since Lucie was born. The last 2 years have been amazing; she’s no longer a baby but a person with a very quirky but adorable personality, and as you know we’ve got another new arrival soon. Lucie has already settled into the role of big sister and keeps bringing Kirsty things for Holly (for those of you who don’t know we’re having another girl….more shoe shopping).

She will be starting playgroup next month, which could be interesting but I can’t wait, master pieces for the fridge my little girl is growing up so fast but am so proud of her and glad to be a part of it.

She’s on the piss already

We were at a party and from the look of it Lucie managed to get her hands on a glass of wine
